 Let’s start out by making sure you understand a little about our church family.  We are a Free Methodist Church  Denomination - Essence Church. Who are Free Methodist Church? The FMC is Methodist Christian Denomination within the holiness movement. It is evangelical in nature and is Wesleyan in theology. We seek spirit-filled life for each believer.  Free Methodist Church of North America, holiness church in the Wesleyan tradition that emphasizes the doctrine of sanctification, a post conversion process of spiritual and moral growth through prayer, bible study, interaction with fellow believers, and simplicity of worship and lifestyle. Essence Church has a  history that goes back to March 2021 when pastor Melquias and Kelcia Olivio started bible study in their home Cape Coral and with a family  in Fort Myers. The church was formally organized in April, 2021 and has existed as a center for community and a place where people have been challenged to live for Christ. That same purpose and passion still exists today as we endeavor to reach, teach, give and go in the power and love of Jesus Christ!   

At Essence Church we believe that membership is an expression of our fellowship with and commitment to one another. Membership connects us with each other under the doctrine, values, and mission of the church. We consider ourselves a welcoming family that invites anyone who shares our purpose, vision, mission, and values as a commitment to on another to join us in expanding the Kindgom of God and seeing lives transformed by Jesus.
